Bruce Levingston is an American concert pianist and recording artist, known for his innovative programming and his advocacy of new music. He has appeared at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, the Kennedy Center and the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, and The New Yorker has called him "the essential New York pianist." His eleven solo albums include Heavy Sleep, named one of the best classical recordings of 2015 by The New York Times, and The Elastic Heart of Youth (Sono Luminus, 2026), an AllMusic Editors' Choice. Gramophone has praised his "masterly textural control," and his recordings have passed 30 million plays on Spotify and Apple Music. He is the Chancellor's Honors College Artist in Residence and holds the Lester Glenn Fant Chair at the University of Mississippi.
